WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
"A person's a person, no matter how small"
Pipsqueak's, located in the heart of Leeds, is a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping parents and families during their time on neonatal units in Yorkshire.
Pipsqueak was the nickname we gave to our daughter, Pippa. The bird in our logo represents her, it's how we often describe her, as our little bird that flew away. In her short life she spent time in three neonatal units in Yorkshire. What was clear from our time on these wards was that they have such tight budgets, there's so much they wish they could do, but simply can not. That's where Pipsqueak's comes in to it - Our aim is to support parents well-being and mental health.
With the dedication of our volunteers, staff members, and partners, we strive to improve the lives of everyone who needs help within neonatal units in Yorkshire.

HOW WE'LL HELP
Since our daughter, Pippa, passed away at the end of December 2017 we've been determined to have her life make a positive difference to others. Launched in September 2018, Pipsqueak's is a tribute to her and will support neonatal units across Yorkshire. Our aim is to primarily support parents on neonatal units, and where we can afford to, help support neonatal units by purchasing new equipment.
In 2018, we funded the full refurbishment of two parent rooms at St James' Hospital in Leeds, where parents can "room in" with their babies before discharge and get a feel for life away from the doctors and nurses. We also funded 50 brand new "Zaky" hands, which are a weighted hand-shaped fabric positional aid to comfort babies and mimic the touch of their parents.
We're always looking for people that can help us raise money. This can be done in so many different ways and has never been any easier. If you have a fundraising idea and would like to help us, please get in touch!
